Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.

LOXE: I’m a music producer and musician, and live in London, UK.

Soule: I’m a Nigeria born, Chicago raised artist/musician/rapper.

Where did the new single come from?

LOXE: The track started in the same way all of the tracks from my mixtape started, I had quite a few beats I’d made that I didn’t know how to finish, and instead of throwing them I decided to collaborate with other artists and take the ideas into a new musical place, depending on who the collaborator was. ‘another day’ was one of those ideas that I’d sent to TĀLĀ, and after we’d worked on it together I hit up Soule to see if he wanted to rap on it. A few back and forths and here it is!

Is there more content in the pipeline?

LOXE: Yes. I have an 8 track mixtape called ‘x TAPE’ which all follows the same line of creation. The idea was to sit between my sonic/musical world and whoever else’s that I collaborated with. I wanted to stay unprecious, and really focus on creativity and collaboration. I’ll be putting another couple of songs out over the next month and then release the whole mixtape at the beginning of July.

Soule: Yes definitely. I am actually working on a couple different projects at the moment– a collaboration with another Chicago rapper (details to be announced in the next few weeks), a music video to be released around August / September shot and directed by the talented Blue Peel Productions and a number of other songs to be released over the course of the next year. I am really big on working with other artists to really bring out the creativity and passion for music in one another.

What’s on the horizon for you?

LOXE: I’m mostly focusing on writing sessions for other artists at the moment. Recently I’ve worked with artists like Nao, Syd (The Internet), Ry X, Rosie Lowe, Vanessa Elisha and a bunch of other great artists, and so hopefully at some point soon you’ll hear some of it! I have a Denai Moore remix coming out this summer too, which is the second remix I’ve done after the Nao – Feels Like remix (ft Stormzy). I’ll also be working on finishing more solo material, though I don’t know in what form I’ll release that yet.

Soule: A lot more awesome music to share with the world so make sure you stay tuned 🙂
