Chatterbox: Carmen Rosa

Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.

Hey! Im an artist who grew up in London and Paris, with South American roots (my mother’s Peruvian). As a kid I used to write a lot of poetry and it transcended into songwriting. I’ve always drawn Inspiration from film and Soundtracks, so I like to have a cinematic, dreamy quality to my sound.

Where did the new single come from?

Wild One was inspired by my Sister. She’s had a pretty colourful life and is very unique and free spirited. She’s been through some hard stuff and I’ve always found her incredibly strong. The song is about finding yourself on the wrong path and coming back from it, starting again. Wanting to let your past go and be accepted, but not always knowing how you’re suppose to feel, when you’ve been living a certain way for so long.

Is there more content in the pipeline?

Yeah, I’m at the beginning of releasing an EP, so I’m very excited about that.

What’s on the horizon for you?

Just continuing on getting my music out there and hoping that people connect to it. I want to do something visually striking for the live shows, I have dreams of going on tour around South America.
