Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
Hey there. I’m a singer-songwriter and producer from South London. I grew up playing piano and playing in bands and quickly started recording the music we made. A couple of years ago I decided that I needed to put all these ideas I had in my head on record and release solo music.
Where did the new single come from?
‘Shame’ came from a session I had about 6 months ago, working with my brother. It was perhaps a bit more poppy and to the point lyrically than my previous songs, which actually really appealed to me. It also had a soul/live vibe to it that I’d been wanting to get into some of my music. I’d demoed it a while back now, and then had it mixed and finished up recently.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
Yes definitely! I’m working on new music whenever I can. There’s a few more songs just about ready to go. I’ve just been out on tour with Alex Clare in Germany, but we were travelling back each week for a few days in between the shows. So this whole experience has provided huge inspiration for me to be making new music during those days off.
What’s on the horizon for you?
I’m really keen to be playing more shows abroad. The audiences in Europe are just so into, and open to new music, which is so rewarding and fun. It feels like kind of a no brainer to do more of that. I’m also working on some remixes for other artists. Album no. 1 is firmly on the horizon, and will be releasing new music leading up to that.
