From Psymon Spine’s upcoming album, Head Body Connector, single ‘Wizard Acid’ showcases their gritty, guitar-forward sound. Consisting of Noah Prebish, Peter Spears, and Brother Michael, the trio infuses their music with a live performance energy, emphasizing the fun they derive from playing together. The album delivers a cathartic experience, influenced by their dynamic stage presence. The single ‘Wizard Acid’ is a woozy disco track, characterized by catchy synths and an irreverent spirit. The accompanying lyrics explore elements of cabin fever, dread, and humor, creating a shapeshifting disco jam that encapsulates the band’s unique and unhinged approach.

New York singer-songwriter Odetta Hartman unveils her latest single ‘Goldilocks’ offering a taste of her upcoming album, Swansongs, set to release on March 22 via Transgressive Records. Originating as a banjo-infused backstage creation in San Francisco, the track evolved through various phases, taking inspiration from Grimes and transitioning into an early 2000s rock vibe reminiscent of The White Stripes. With lyrical references to fairy tales and the musical Gypsy, ‘Goldilocks’ transforms into a bombastic dance bop—a tongue-in-cheek pep talk, a vaudeville striptease, and a whip-cracking manifesto that showcases Odetta Hartman’s eclectic and innovative musical approach.
