The new visual for Grandtheft’s ‘Square One feat. MAX’ is a real contender for video of the year

Yujia Hu is a Milan-based sushi chef and artist who has previously collaborate with the like of Nike, Gucci and Vogue. Now, he has teamed up with Grandtheft, MAX and Lowly Palace to create one of the most original videos of the year so far. Directed by Mikhail Mehra and animated by Sam Barnett, we are taken on an anthropomorphised sushi love story. The doomed pair navigate a beautifully animate tunaverse, filled with comically perilous pitfalls. The song itself has swum to upwards of two million streams; firmly establishing Grandtheft as an emerging force in new music.
